Airlines – Airports / Government Disputes

Disputes between airlines and governments or between airlines and airport administrations of both regulatory and business nature  are frequently heard in front a court of law or an arbitrator.

Following are but a few examples of such potential disputes:

- Airlines or airports privatization deals intiated by governments,

- The use of rights resulting from int'l bilateral commercial flights agreements and slot- rights,

- Over-flight and airport charges,

- Terminal and apron use rights, cargo handling, exclusive use of upper class launges.

In such eventualities the parties may need an independent expert witness opinion.
